Top 14 tips for the use of carbide rotary burrs

The drive tool’s optimal power output and rotation speed are necessary for maximizing the cost-effectiveness of the cemented carbide rotary burrs, which is why we advise you as following.

1. Use the maximum speed possible. See Our recommended values for speed/cutting speed.

2, when the fixed machine or countersunk drill 360 degrees operation, speed does not exceed 3000 RPM.

3. Rigid clamping systems are used only to prevent tool wear due to shock and vibration.

4. The clamping depth of rotary burrs should not be too short. In general, the minimum clamping depth should be 2/3 of shaft length.

5. when using a 6mm Rotary file, to achieve good cost-effectiveness, it is recommended to use higher cutting speed while also using tool power output adjustment to between 300-500 Watts. The power output is between 500 and 1500 watts (or higher) when using burrs (such as Alu burrs).

6.the speed can be greatly increased when doing small cutting operations (deburring, chamfering, slight surface machining).

7. When working with hot and poor conductors such as stainless steel and titanium alloys, it is recommended to reduce the speed considerably to prevent mechanical damage. Avoid bluing of tools and handles. If the temperature is too high, the rigidity of the welding joint between the head and the handle of the rotary file will decrease, and the head may fly out.

8. The base surface of the tool head and workpiece should not be larger than 1/3 of the entire circumference. If more than 1/3, it can achieve smooth milling performance but will lead to file tooth fracture. If it must be more significant than 1/3, we recommend using 3R or 3RS teeth .

9. When working with sticky materials, use similar lubricants such as cutting oil, grease, kerosene, chalk, to avoid file clogging.

10. the tool must be appropriately clamped and tightly when using. The tool handle can not extend to the end in the Jig, to avoid the problem of concentricity caused by the uneven bottom of the JIG.

11. The cutting way is to reverse milling and avoid reciprocating, and should not be too strong, the pressure shall not exceed 1 kg.

12. when operating tool, contacting should not be too fast, to avoid the phenomenon of exploding teeth.

13. When the tool is in operation, do not collide with other objects around to prevent the device from breaking or bending.

14. When working with oxides and rough surfaces, it is best to deburr with a used tool before using a new tool, which can increase the service life of the tool.
